GuardianPlay is committed to providing the safest possible supervised digital gameplay experience. We believe every child deserves to enjoy online gaming without exposure to harassment, inappropriate content, manipulation, or unsafe interactions.

This Child Safety Policy sets out the standards, rules, and protocols that apply to every GuardianPlay session, every session guardian, and every interaction involving a child on our platform.

1. Our Commitment

Child safety is the only non-negotiable. Every rule in this policy exists for one reason: to protect the child in every session. No business consideration, client preference, or session continuity overrides a child's safety.

2. Guardian Standards

Every session guardian at GuardianPlay must meet and maintain the following standards:

  • Use only GuardianPlay-designated accounts — never a personal gaming account

  • Complete internal training on session SOPs, crisis protocols, and communication boundaries before conducting any session

  • Undergo a background check (NBI clearance at minimum) before any client-facing activity

  • Sign and comply with GuardianPlay's confidentiality, data handling, and safeguarding agreement

  • Report all incidents, however minor, using the post-session security report

  • Never maintain any form of contact with a child outside of formally booked and paid sessions

  • Never promise confidentiality to a child or ask a child to keep any secret from their parents

3. Session Environment Rules

  • Private servers are the default. All sessions use private or controlled server environments unless a parent explicitly consents to a public server in writing at booking.

  • Guardian joins first. The session guardian always joins the game environment before the child to assess it for safety. If the environment is unsafe, the guardian exits before the child joins and contacts the parent.

  • Communication is structured. All communication between the guardian and child is limited to the session tier selected at booking. No communication occurs outside the session.

  • Temporary connections only. Any in-game connection (e.g. friend request) used to access a private server is removed immediately after every session without exception.

  • No personal information exchange. Guardians do not share personal details with children and do not ask children for personal information.

4. Crisis Response Protocol

Level 1 — Low Risk

Minor inappropriate behaviour from other players

Examples: mild profanity, minor unsolicited friend request, brief off-topic chat.
Response: Mute/block offending player. Redirect child. Continue session if environment is safe. Document in post-session report.

Level 2 — MODERATE Risk

Session environment is compromised

Examples: Persistent harassment, child expressing distress, unmanageable public server, repeated inappropriate contact attempts.
Response:
Move to private server or pause session. End session early if environment cannot be made safe. Contact parent within 2 hours. Complete expedited report same day. Preserve all evidence.

Level 3 — high risk / EMERGENCY

Immediate threat to child safety

Examples: Explicit grooming attempt, sexual content directed at child, child discloses abuse, credible threat of harm.
Response:
End session immediately. Preserve all evidence before closing any application. Contact parent within 30 minutes by every available method. If parent unreachable and child is in immediate danger, contact emergency services in child's country. Report to platform Trust & Safety. Complete full incident report within 4 hours. Do not delete any files until legal guidance is obtained.

Mandatory reporting: Where a child discloses ongoing abuse, or where applicable law creates a mandatory reporting obligation, GuardianPlay may report to authorities without prior parental notification. This is a legal and ethical obligation that overrides normal procedure.

5. Prohibited Conduct

  • Any communication with a child outside a formally booked and paid session

  • Sharing personal contact details with a child or their family

  • Maintaining any ongoing in-game relationship with a child

  • Accepting gifts, in-game items, or currency from a child

  • Discussing personal, romantic, or sexual topics with a child

  • Promising confidentiality to a child or asking a child to keep secrets

  • Taking or storing screenshots of a child for any non-safety purpose

  • Conducting sessions from a personal gaming account

The following conduct is strictly prohibited for all session guardians. Violation results in immediate termination of the guardian relationship.

6. Reporting Concerns

  • Email hello@guardianplayservices.com immediately with as much detail as possible

  • Request a copy of the session security report and, where applicable, session recordings within the 30-day retention window

  • If you believe a child protection issue has occurred, contact the relevant authority in your country directly: NCMEC (US), CEOP (UK), ACPO (AU)

GuardianPlay takes all concerns seriously and will respond within 24 hours of any safety-related complaint.
